Problem with internet settings I think
Hi guys
I have Airtel Internet and I am using the modem they provided. Previously I was using Belkin wireless modem till it broke down. So now I brought a new Router Asus AC66U and now the problem is my signal is good but the internet drops off. The modem is showing good connection. I have a computer plugged in via LAN and it never drops where as my cell phone shows good signal (Signal strenth: 3 out of 4 or sometimes 4 out of 4) n still cant browse. this happens once in 15 to 20 mins n specially wen i am next room.
I think there is something wrong with settings as my wifi strength is good. This did not happen with my belkin wireless modem.
I have cordless n microwave n all sorts of stuff so I switched from 2.4 Ghz to 5Ghz channel but no improvement.
Can u help me out with settings?

Unable to view 39 channels in tatasky

Help on wiring the AIrtel Broadband
Dears
I have a beetel router with Airtel broadband.. Can anyone tell me how to wire it ? There is one more small connector box that has 3 ports.. phone & data on one end.. and line on the other. Router has line, lan1 , lan2, lan 3 etc.
ALso, what settings do I need to maintain for WAN interface in router ? Can anyone using Airtel please give a screenshot ?

Need help configuring airtel routerT with asus modem.
So i was using this modem from asus for 2 years.RT-G32 for WIFI.I have binatone DT 820 airtel router.I generally use this modem to use the WIFI on my phone.Was working just fine but today all of a sudden asus modem config got resetted.i could tell it as my wifi connection was no longer secure.This modem was configured 2 years back by the guy from the shop i bought it from.
So now i can't configure it anymore.I put my airtel password and login in there but its still not connecting. Can someone tell me what to do?

One Hi-fi System Two inputs
Okay first of all I don't know if its the correct section to post my question, if not please move it to appropriate section.
My problem is I have an old aiwa music system which we brought from abroad, it only support one AV auxiliary inputand I have a Samsung LED TV with Tata sky. The output from TV speakers isn't good so I decided to take output from TV to music system but the audio was not so good. So I directly took output from Tata sky STB to music system now it sounds far better than my TV speakers. But now my mother doesn't want another remote (Music system) to watch TV Image may be NSFW.

she's happy with the TV speaker sound quality and also when I wanna watch movies from my Pendrive I have to rewire my music system to get input from TV and disconnect Tata sky from the music system Image may be NSFW.

I just received a refund of around Rs.68 from Airtel for the broadband connection I had disconnected. After 2.5 years. I guess they are trying to remind me of their existence.

Airtel Killed a 6+ years Old Number, Kicking TRAI Guidelines
as the Title says.
A very close friend who's wife is a govt. employee had this number with her for 6+ years.
Today morning she went to office, got low on Balance, called her hubby to recharge and he topped up for some local pack of rs.200+
Number was working fine till around 5 P.M. and all of a sudden, "SIM REGISTRATION FAILED"
Her husband a close friend of mine, tried whatever he could, then called me to troubleshoot
Later visited me to check her android phone if it was some phone setting doing this.
I was sure and asked him to call the 10 Digit Airtel Customer care from his other cellphone
and to our surprise the Airtel Customer Care Representative said, Number has been DE-Activated and Removed from Database
and there's no way on earth you could get it back.

This is Insane, no warnings, no reminders, no information just KICKED out of network.
This even when Last time he submitted his ID + Photograph in March 2013, as she lost her phone along sim in it, and it was
blocked, and a duplicate SIM was issued after the required paper work.
and before that a year or two back, same guy submitted the ID proof on previous instance of Phone/SIM LOST.
And now the customer care says, some verification failed and we killed your number.
ID proof was Legitimate, Photo was real, Number was active for last 6+ Years and killed/flushed like pooo....
Her number was registered as only number in govt. records for her employment
This Airtel Number was registered in all her banking accounts
This Airtel number was working for last 6 years and each and every person she had to deal in her official work had this, from peon to a High Rank I.A.S. officer.
Friend is real angry and will be talking to a Lawyer monday morning, he also wants to register a F.I.R. against the person who is in-charge at their local office who would have processed the Docs which were submitted, and he's certainly talking to PRESS and showing the details, I am sure this is gonna cause a lot of heat in coming days.....
Can someone please tell what should be done if he's not choosing the right process
Personally, I am so scared of Airtel now.....

Which broadband is available in HSR Layout 1st Sector Bangalore
I'm going to move to HSR Layout 1st Sector in the following week. I contacted Airtel and unfortunately they don't have network feasibility here. This absolutely surprises me to know that Airtel still don't have their network in one of the prime residential places of Bangalore. To be honest I searched all over the internet to know what all ISPs are available and there are not many. I heard of TTN network as most used broadband here in 1st Sector, but all over the internet its users are down voting and cursing it.
I hope this is my last resort to ask this question on broadband forum, if anyone is staying here in 1st Sector, do you know what all ISPs are available here? If you've heard of TTN Network, is it really that horrible as its users say?
I'm really internet starved and frustrated to my depths, this is my new home and they still don't have Airtel here. I can't stay alive on shitty Airtel 3G and expensive 4G anymore . Lord knows what the hell is taking so much time.
